Acupuncture is more than just placing needles where it hurts. In Classical Chinese Medicine, we view the body as an interconnected system, and the goal is to restore balance—not just treat symptoms. I start each session with a thoughtful assessment, using observation, palpation, and conversation to understand where your body is out of balance.
Rather than needling into painful areas, I work with healthy areas of the body to help influence and heal the ones in distress. This approach is based on Classical Chinese Medicine—an older, more complete system than the standardized version (TCM) taught in many schools. It uses a wider range of channel systems to treat the root of the issue, not just the surface.
Acupuncture feels different for everyone, but you might notice a dull, achy, or heavy sensation where the needles are placed—this is a good sign that your qi is moving. Many people feel relaxed, light, or even fall asleep during treatment. These sensations are all normal and show the body is responding.
Each treatment is customized. For example, two people with the same shoulder pain might receive very different care depending on their overall constitution. Whether you need support, movement, or nourishment, my goal is to create a treatment that helps you feel better—naturally and effectively.
